THERE ARE NO JOBS HERE and the cost of living is very high

It took me - ME - three months to get the job I wanted, and I only got it because my friend is friends with the regional manager of the company I now work for.

Forget Australia - rebuild Greece

We are looking to hire a book keeper/ accounts staff manager.

We will need an IT manager in 3 months as our current IT manager is going on 12 months maternity leave. Send me a personal message .

I was an immigration agent but I have let my registration lapse because I practice in a different field now.

We have an in house immigration agent specializing in subclass 457 visas (Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship ) and ENS visas ( employer nominated scheme). What work skills do you have?

follow this link to see if you the right skills to get a work visa:

http://www.immi.gov....l-schedule1.pdf

Or, alternatively

If you want to try to organize work before hand try this link:

The cost of living is a bit expensive if you want to live right in the city but there are cheaper places to live like the western suburbs or southern suburbs. Also greeks are not as hated as other immigrants are in Australia in fact we are almost as indigenous as the aborigines by now.

Anyway don't take notice of some of the smart arses who were born here and probably have not worked anywhere else in the world. Australia is a paradise if you work hard, pay a little tax, obey the laws, obey the white man and love your family.

What is different is there is less nepotism and corruption & wages are better but this is a double edged sword since you pay (more) in taxes, insurance, power, phone & soupa moupes

Employment opportunities are definitely there however the number of jobs available to you will largely depend on your skills, experience and qualification and education. Remuneration is reasonable but again depending on the conditions already mentioned. Melbourne has the largest population of Greeks outside of Greece so you wont feel isolated...As others have mentioned public transport can be a problem but this will depend on where you live and work. I love Melbourne, I was born here and have lived here all my life...the problem with it is that EVERYBODY wants to come here and the cracks are starting to show as the infrastructure of this city wasnt designed for so many people. Either way I understand the difficulties & hardships facing Greeks at the moment but Australia will welcome you with open arms for a fresh start. Technological advances will enable you to remain in close contact with family & friends in Greece. Good luck and all the best with your decision

Manos, how old are you and what qualifications do you hold, what state is your family living in

It's great that you have a roof over your head to begin with but you will need a job
