The Chips are called "The PIEZO-RUBBER CHIPS". Which are made of lead zircon-ate titan-ate "PZT" nanoribbons fixed inside silicone rubber sheets and produce electricity when flexed. PZT is capable of converting 80% of applied mechanical energy to electricity.
Which makes it 100 times more efficient than quartz, as said by Princeton professor Michael McAlpine.

In a millimeter of space 100 PZT chips can be fitted. Due to the amendment on silicone technology is called bio-compatible. McAlpine says that the chips can be placed inside the human body to generate electricity. The chips can also be placed in the shoes, so it generate electricity while walking.
It was the first successful experiment of combining silicone and nanoribbons of zircon-ate titanium "PZT" by Princeton team. Means when pressure is applied on it electricity will produce. McAlpine is the leader of the project.
McAlpine said: "In addition to generating electricity when it is flexed, the opposite is true: the material flexes when electrical current is applied to it. This opens the door to other kinds of applications, such as use for micro-surgical devices."
Yi Qi Said, "The beauty of it is scalable". He also said,"we will make bigger and bigger chips that will generate more electricity". Yi Qi is the researcher who worked with McAlpine.
United States Intelligence Community funded research team for their project, a cooperative of federal intelligence and national security agencies.
