Don't you wish you had a son too, though? They say that having a son is what completes a woman. You know, the way Olympias fulfilled her dreams through Alexander's conquests.

no not really i've never heard of that saying, a son now at my daughters age, would probably be totally independent, wouldn't confide in me on his daily life and wouldn't give me a facial as my daughter does.
I go shopping with my daughter, go get our pedicures together, go out for coffee, she helps with the house and im sure i couldn't do that with a son...
However, knowing what i know now, if i had a son first, i would definitely be trying for a daughter..

I didn't say there was anything wrong with having daughters. This is purely a question of preference.

You're obviously not a Greek mother.

True story.....When I was expecting, I was really hoping for a boy. Don't get me wrong, if it ended up being a girl I would be happy but when I found out it was a boy, I was ecstatically happy!
Now that I have two boys and I look at oldies with only sons, battling it out at home without a daughter around, complaining that they are lonely...it kind of bugs me. SO the million dollar question....Will I try for a girl? Hmmm.
